Sex Lives of the Etruscans

It was the law among the Etruscans that all the women were held in common. They took great care of their figures, practising gymnastics naked with men and alone. They had no shame in nudity.
They did not eat with their husbands, but took their meals with any man they liked. They were very fond of eating and drinking, and were very beautiful. Often children were born without knowing who the father was. When they grew up, they lived in the same way, drinking heavily and having any woman that came their way.

Etruscan men have sex quite openly with boys, actively and passively, for homosexuality is the common custom of the country. There is not disgrace in sexual activity. If a visitor comes while the master of the house is enjoying his wife, the man will calmly explain that he was engaged in this or that indecent act.
When they have a party and have drunk enough, they go to bed. Servants then bring in to the lighted bedroom prostitutes, pretty boys and sometimes their wives. When they have sated their appetites, young men in their prime are brought to enjoy the women and boys. They worship love and sometimes watch while others are doing it, though generally a curtain is lowered. They like women, but generally prefer men and boys. They kept themselves beautiful by removing all the hairs from their bodies. There are many shops where hair is removed. They go there and have any part of their body depilated without worrying about the prying eyes of strangers.
